Tacoma Wedding: Brian & Katie

I was so excited to drive up to Tacoma and see these beautiful people! I love this family and have had the privilege of photographing two of their prior wedding celebrations. But weddings just never get old, there is something so special about seeing the whole day transpire and these two young people commit their life and love till “death do us part”.

Katie and Brian, thank you for entrusting your wedding day memories to my care. May your years ahead be filled with as much joy as I witnessed on this day!

Water Oasis Wedding: H & K

The photos don’t do this wedding justice, you can get a taste, but can’t quite get the full dose of contagious joy that reigned over this day. It was a celebration to remember and I was so honored to be a part.

Highlight of the night: The bride & groom surprised their grandparents by playing “Unchained Melody” the same song they danced to 50+ years ago, inviting them to share the dance floor. These are the moments that give me shivers down the spine, the moments that anchor us to the past and inspire our future.

Portland Winter Wedding: Holly & Clayton

The rain was coming in buckets, but inside was as cozy as any lodge could be. Now, whenever they return to this cozy airbnb, they will remember the sweetness of staying with their family here. The preciousness of family will never cease to amaze me. When life throws you every curve ball in the book, family sticks by you and supports you regardless. Having a wedding during this season is extremely challenging, many expectations have been laid aside, again and again, and then again. But through it all I’ve seen true love emerge in the most beautiful ways and an emphasis back on what really matters. Actually getting married. So if there were silver linings to having a Covid wedding, this is one- less focus on the trappings of the wedding day and more appreciation for family, and the (still) sacred act of committing your life, love and all your future tomorrows to another person.

Holly & Clayton it was an incredible honor to be among the witnesses of your vows. Thank you for letting me capture this day for you.
