Resort at the Mountain Wedding: Sean + Linda

This wedding blew my mind. It was what every photographer dreams of. A fantastic couple with supremely good taste and a thoughtful well organized team. It was the best of the best coming together to celebrate and capture a very special love story.

Linda and Sean are very different, but simultaneously a beautiful compliment to each other. Isn't that what makes a good marriage? Two different people that help each other grow and become better together. Sacrificial love is the heartbeat of marriage, and these two have it. They both bring out the best in the other, they both are happiest when they can just relax and enjoy the other. As a photographer, it is such a privilege to be an outsider and watch it all unfold. It still gets me emotional every time ;)

This is the story of their day :)

Cathedral Park Engagement Photos: Elizabeth + Dave

Cathedral Park Engagements are among my favorites because the St Johns Bridge is such a romantic backdrop for telling a love story. But telling 2 love stories simultaneously? That's nothing short of epic. As you may have noticed, this Cathedral Park Engagement is extra special. Two sisters, a few years apart, are getting married. Yes, ladies and gents, it's a double wedding. Both sisters are nurses. Both are marrying Structural engineers... who both work for the same company. :D

The world of online dating can be daunting to say the least. But it only took one look at Elizabeth and Dave was sold. I can only imagine how nervous Elizabeth must have felt as they decided to meet up at Village Coffee Shop for their "first date". But whatever nervousness she had, soon dissipated and something magical clicked. It was meant to be, and as Elizabeth laughed as we walked together during their shoot "the right one was certainly worth the wait!"

The rest was just working out the "details". ;)

Portland Boudoir Photographer: Before and After

Boudoir photography is such a fun adventure. Jenna's such a beauty! Portland Boudoir photos at it's classy finest. :) portland boudoir photos before and after

For more of our boudoir information, check out our exclusive behind the scenes video. Vimeo is our kind host and has been featuring our boudoir and portrait work. Also check out our Boudoir Website that has more info for booking a Portland boudoir session.

I was recently asking my readers and Facebook fans- how do you advertise something this personal? It's difficult to show the work you do without causing issues. Granted, a lot of women are comfortable signing a model release. However, that's not really the issue. What's more important to me, it to keep these very provocative images out of public view period. I don't want my little boys or brothers facing a difficult situation. These images are meant for their husbands, significant other, or frankly, just themselves.

So there is the dilemma. I would love to feature all the recent work I've done. But in order to protect everyones privacy I have declined that option. Do you have any ideas? Maybe a printed version vs. online? We do have a private Facebook Boudoir Group, but it's by invite only which makes it difficult for new clients to find. (naturally) Hmm. It's something I will continue to think about. Meanwhile, I am doing a Model call as a promotion and seeing if that works out well. I'm a bit nervous, but I love all the women who have applied. Their stories are amazing!

I'll keep you updated, but for now- Merry Christmas! And start thinking about Valentines Day! January is almost completely booked with boudoir shoots. 10 already!
