We snuck this Portland Waterfront Engagement shoot in by the seat of our pants. Whitney and Aaron say their "I dos" THIS coming Saturday. So it is with great joy that we found a time to get comfortable and sneak in some super hot engagement photos a week before the big day. The Portland waterfront has never seen such a fabulous couple, nor such a fabulous balloon ;) (aptly named Clementine) It was underneath the Morrison bridge, on that very spot that Aaron asked Whitney to be his bride months ago. Now with just a few days dwindling between that final celebration they laughed and held each other, reminiscing.
On the drive home I often process the shoot in my head, and the resounding thought as I trundled down Barnes road was: "wow, he really loves that girl...he REALLY love love loves her." I feel like what I'm always trying to capture is 1)epic moments and 2)real emotion. What I felt coming from Aaron toward his bride was just that- real, intense, catch-me-if-you-can delight in Whitney. And who wouldn't?? She is a firefly with those glowy eyes of hers, lighting up when their eyes meet. But more than just chemistry, they have this beautiful friendship, each trusting the other, letting the other shine, bringing out the best. These two have the passion and commitment to do the hard work of marriage. Today is just the very beginning of a grand adventure, with each chapter better than the last.
Cheers to you two, and to your upcoming wedding- so so privileged to be a part. Love and hugs, Christa
