Do you ever get that non-sensical urge to photograph a certain person? And no, we're not talking celebrities here. Just normal, ordinarily fabulous people. Kate Carmack was that for me, a long-standing friend, she had moved to DC to serve in the white house as their event coordinator. Um yes. I did just say the White house. Ok, so besides being outrageously talented and knowing how to converse casually diplomats, the girl is downright gorgeous. I mean, beautiful not only externally, but her heart. She's one of those rare, genuine ladies, the kind that leave you feeling known and refreshed. I can picture her quite effortlessly as the First Lady herself.

Well, I got my wish with Kate. After her recent move Kate called me regarding some work for her upcoming business launch here in Portland. You see- wishes do come true :)

We reconnected over lunch while I scoped the puddles of light all around the restaurant. Gracie's thank you for hosting us (and for your superb Mimosa).
