Mt Hood Engagement: Shawn + Wendi

Wendi was plowing through nursing school and found herself face-to-face with Anatomy and Physiology. The dread of many a student, you have to achieve a perfect A to get a coveted spot in the nursing program. The first time round Wendi was dissapointed with her B+ and determined to Ace the class a second time. Looking back, if it hadn't been for that fateful B+, chances are, she would never have crossed paths with the dashing Shawn seated in the front row. As it was, their stories were fated to cross. Shawn was training to be a firefighter and conveniently ended up in the same class. (Come on people, what's not more iconically romantic than a nurse and a firefighter falling in love??) Unfortunately for him, he chose to sit in the front row while Wendi sat in the back. And everyone knows, once you choose your seat- there's no going back. All the same, Shawn managed to find any number of excuses to make eyes at the gorgeous babe in the back of the room. "I used to pretend I was stretching my neck, or checking the time" Shawn laughed when telling the story. Wendi rolls her eyes and sends a playful jab in response.

For Shawn those rows of seats seemed a impossible barrier between them. There was little hope until the last day of class. Whether it was the convincing of a friend or their impending separation is uncertain. Whatever it was, they FINALLY made plans to connect and their first phone call stretched 2 hours into the evening.

They knew they had found their match.

Wendi and Shawn are not just beautiful to look at, they are truly beautiful people to live life with. Both of their professions indicate the level of personal passion, commitment and sacrifice they live out on a daily basis. They bring out the best in people, something we could all have a little more of ;)

For their engagement session we drove up to Mt Hood (Gorgeous!) and hit the snow. Of course we had to highlight that magnificent truck which makes their photos look like a cross between a Dodge ad and a Ralph Lauren fashion spread. To kill some sun-time we had a drink in Timberline Lodge and finished up around 7pm.

Leave them a comment with some love!
