Free Wedding Photo Timeline

Planning your wedding photo timeline is a crucial part in keeping the wedding day seamless and stress-free. A little coordination between the photographer, wedding team and bride/groom can ensure that everything goes smoothly without a hitch.

When I plan a timeline, it's typically based on an 8 hour wedding day. I always plan in cushion so that if things are running late, we have time and can make up for un-forseen challenges.

1: Start with the wedding Ceremony time. (4 or 5pm are the most popular because they allow enough time fore the ceremony/cocktail hour before dinner)
2: Are you doing a First Look? Single most important question. ;)

 3. Based on the ceremony time you can determine how many hours of coverage you want before/after the vows are made.

 4. ALWAYS plan at least 2 hours for brides hair/makeup. It always takes that long no matter how simple it is.

It's so much easier to just show you some samples- so here you go!

If the wedding coverage is 9 or 10 hours, I just add an hour to the end and/or beginning. With 8 hours, I have just a few minutes to get the very last finishing details of the brides prep. It is nice to have more of those prep shots- but if the client wants to keep the time on the back-end, I role with the punches ;)

Christa Taylor Photography on Instagram

It's Saturday morning, in the midst of prepping for a beautiful wedding at the Aerie at Eagle Landing and here I am thinking about Instagram. Instagram, as many know, has become the new form of blog- a personal platform to share snippets of your life, work and personality.

Any social media platform takes work, and because we only have limited time during the day, you have to choose which platform you are going to invest in. Instagram seems to be growing the most rapidly and requires the least amount of work. I want to create a story, but I don't have the same amount of time I did before. Our baby girl Florence is now a year old and frankly, I'd rather be with her than spend hours manipulating my latest blog post or Facebook share. (She's currently sitting next to me, chowing down on Cheddar bunnies)

If choosing to simplify makes life easier and more affective to accomplish your long-term goals. DO IT. As Jen Rozenbaum says, "Make your business work for your life, not your life for your business".

So here's a cheers to Instagram
