Troutdale House Wedding: Nicholas and Rebecca

Having known Nick for many years, it was truly a special privilege to have a "front row" seat at their wedding. The celebration took place at the Troutdale House just down the street from Troutdale's quaint downtown strip. Despite the January chill, these two love birds braved the cold with warm smiles and thankful hearts.

First Presbyterian Tacoma Wedding: Josh + Rachel

First Presbyterian Church Tacoma Wedding

I love this family. LOVE THEM. Maybe it's the similar upbringing, (I feel right at home) maybe it's the love shared between the siblings, their great sense of style (you know who you are) or the purity and passion in their weddings. Whatever it is, this family is a gem- the real deal. It is always a particular honor to be invited into a family for the second time, I feel that trust and it makes me just want to fulfill every bit of that expectation.

With that said, it's a delight to share these photos. Josh and Rachel, you guys have a treasure in the "crowd of witnesses" that are rooting you on and behind you every step of the way. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the "crowd" for the  day :D

And Rach- I still think you look like Queen Elizabeth and you have the record for the best bridal entrance of my career. (for reals- I was crying, but so was everyone else)

First Presbyterian Church of Tacoma (Amy and Erin) thank you for hosting this lovely wedding, and for running us around that gorgeous church all day. Couldn't have done this glamorous fashion-forward wedding without you!

Thank you to Monica, my trusty assistant and second shooter.

Hood River Best Western Wedding: Rob + Brooke

This wedding at Best Western Hood River was personally so refreshing for me. It was a reminder of why I shoot weddings in the first place. Yes, the schedule was way off, the rain was coming in torrents, and our portrait time was squished into 20 minutes. But despite all these discouraging odds, looking through the photos afterwards, I cried. I'm not a perfect wedding photographer, but what I saw in front of me were tangible, hit-you-to-core moments of love. Relationships of love are the foundation of society- and getting a front row view of this family's love for each other was an incredible privilege.

Brooke and Rob have a powerful bond, and with all they've endured these past few months this wedding was a beacon of hope.   But before I bore you with the inner ramblings of my head- I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves.
